Joom Helps: Marketplace Launching a Large-scale Campaign to Support Ukrainian Merchants on the European Market

Riga, April 5, 2022 - Joom Marketplace has launched a large-scale campaign to promote Ukrainian merchants across the European market. From April 5 to 10, Joom is organizing a special promotional campaign with an extended selection of the best items from Ukraine. The campaign will be supported by bloggers from the Joom Influencer Program and will include more than 10,000 Ukrainian items in key categories, such as: Clothing & Accessories, Health & Beauty, Jewelry & Bijouterie, Pet products. All of them will be available to customers in Europe, Israel and the USA. Users in these countries will also be able to find all Ukrainian products in one place, thanks to the optimized search on the platform.

"Since the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, many Ukrainian organizations have been forced to limit or completely shut down operations, which has inevitably affected Ukrainian merchants. Our goal is to provide uninterrupted service for them, and we are using all of our resources to minimize the negative effects of this situation, maintain and even increase sales. Our team is always on call to promptly respond to requests and anticipate the needs of our clients. It is very important for us to stick together during these difficult times and offer consistent and comprehensive support to Ukrainian merchants in the European market," Jurijs Ivanovs, CMO and co-founder of Joom Marketplace commented.

Since the end of February 2022, Joom has taken a number of actions to support Ukrainian merchants. Joom has made payments without waiting for the end of the payment period for those merchants that have lost the ability to fulfill their obligations to customers and helped to maintain ratings during the temporary shutdown. Once these merchants are able to return to full service, their items will receive additional support from Joom in terms of promotion and audience reach.

For merchants that continue to operate, Joom has temporarily reduced the platform's commission to 0% as of March 14. This means that the Marketplace will not take the commission from the sale of goods Ukrainian stores provide on the platform until the situation returns to normal.

Finally, at the end of March, fintech service Joompay, part of the Joom group of companies, introduced a solution allowing Ukrainian refugees to get a free European account.
